A few weeks ago, Clementine started acting really strange. Like, hiding in cupboards during the daytime and only coming out at night strange. Like, yowling if P. and I came near her when the sun was shining, but purring if P. picked her up at night. She also vomited twice in the past month, which is first of all gross, and second of all worrisome because this is a cat whoneverpukes.
And so, as any worried mom usually does, I got her some drugs. We stopped by a pet store, stocked up on catnip and took some free samples of treats, even though Clem doesn’t eat treats.
She does now. Here she is, snuggling with her catnip-stuffed giraffe. She has never been more chill, more calm, or had the munchies more seriously. I’ll take the glassy eyes over a yowling, cupboard-hiding cat any day.
